If you know me, you sure know how much I love flowers in all forms! 
They are one of nature's most beautiful creations. The way they bloom is so poetic and metaphoric and they have the most stunning variety of colours and shapes, which, as an artist, it's something that truly blows my mind.

In this blog I would like to share a bit more about them with to introduce you to my Custom Australian Natives Birth Flowers Print which celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of each individual birth flower. These prints are not just visually beautiful, but also hold significant meaning and symbolism for each person's birth month.

Each birth flower has its own unique traits and symbolism, making them a meaningful way to honor the special people in your life.
These flowers have been associated with specific months for centuries and are believed to reflect the personality and traits of individuals born during that time. Since I first moved to Australia in 2017 I have been fascinated for Australia's fauna and flora, everything is just so different from Europe!
As you can imagine, Australian natives captivated me from the very beginning and I knew for a long time I had to create something with them.

I had already created a custom birth flowers print with the generic flowers that are commonly associated with each month, but this time I wanted to go further and be more specific narrowing just Australian natives as they surely deserve their own designs!
Australia is home to some of the most unique and beautiful flora in the world. The country's diverse climate and landscapes have given rise to a range of striking plants, many of which can only be found in Australia.


January's birth flower, the Clematis, is a symbol of pure love, ingenuity and resourcefulness. It is a climbing plant that can adapt to different environments and uses its tendrils to grasp onto whatever is nearby.

February's birth flower, the Bluebell, is a symbol of humility and constancy, as it blooms each year with little fanfare. It also means gratitude and everlasting love.

The March birth flower, the Bottlebrush, is a symbol of abundance, joy and resilience. Its distinctive flowers resemble a bottlebrush and can tolerate extreme weather conditions.

The April birth flower, the Fennel Flower, is a symbol of courage and adaptability which also translated as a beauty and strength traits. It is a hardy plant that can thrive in a variety of soils and temperatures.


May's birth flower, the Gum Blossom
, purity, wealth and abundance. Gum blossom is a symbol of protection and comfort. The gum tree's leaves provide shade and shelter, while its flowers attract native wildlife.

June's birth flower, the Heath, is a symbol of solitude and contemplation as well as good luck and beauty. It is a delicate plant that thrives in remote and quiet environments.

July's birth flower, the Grevillea, is a symbol of creativity and imagination. Its unique flowers come in a variety of colours and shapes, inspiring artists and gardeners alike. True love, strength and integrity.



August's birth flower, the Banksia, new beginnings and discovery. Banksias are a symbol of hospitality and generosity. Its flowers are a favorite of native birds and insects, making it a vital part of Australia's ecosystem.

September's birth flower, the Wax Flower, is a symbol of happiness, success and patience. Its fragrant flowers can last for weeks, filling a room with their sweet aroma.

October's birth flower, the Protea, (my personal favourite) is a symbol of hope, courage and transformation. It is a striking flower with sharp petals that can withstand extreme temperatures and conditions.

November's birth flower, the Golden Wattle, is a symbol of resilience and determination; unity and joy. It is Australia's national floral emblem and has played an important role in the country's history and identity.

December's birth flower, the Waratah, is a symbol of passion and beauty as well as courage and love. Its vibrant red flowers are a striking sight in Australia's bushland and have become a beloved symbol of the country's flora. (New South Wales emblem too!)


As you can see Australian natives are unique in their beauty and significance. They are known for their vibrant colours, unusual shapes, and ability to thrive in harsh environments.
Australia's diverse flora is shaped by the continent's unique climate, which ranges from tropical rainforests to arid deserts. These extreme conditions have led to the development of unique and diverse plant life, which has made Australia a haven for plant enthusiasts around the world.

The Australian native birth flowers are not only beautiful and meaningful, but they also offer a glimpse into the rich and diverse natural world that exists in Australia.
